The Gujarat High Court Civil Judge Preliminary Examination (Elimination Test) Pattern -

• The Prelims Test is tentatively scheduled for 05/05/2019.
• The Candidates may download their ‘Gujarat High Court Civil Judge e-Call-letter-cum Admission Slip’ from the OJAS Portal of NIC and that is as follows- https://hc-ojas.guj.nic.in from 29/04/2019. Area:
• Total- 100Marks
• Total- 100 Questions
• Duration of the Test- 120 Minutes
• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be displayed in the written test.
• Negative Marking= Minus 0.33 Mark for each Wrong / Multiple Answer

• The Constitution of India - [Part-III - Fundamental Rights (Articles 12 to 35A) & Part-IVA - Fundamental Duties]

Part – C

Kindly Note-

• The language Test will have 75 Questions in the Preliminary Examination.
• The language will be English of 75 questions and
• The remaining 25 Questions will be in Gujarati language.
• Required 50% Marks in the Preliminary Examination for being eligible for Main Written Examination. However, the Preliminary Examination is qualifying only in nature.

The Gujarat High Court Civil Judge Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type) Pattern-

The main exam tentatively scheduled on 07/07/2019.

The Candidates can download their ‘Gujarat High Court Civil Judge e-Call-letter-cum Admission Slip’ from the OJAS Portal of NIC and that is https://hcojas.guj.nic.in from 01/07/2019.

Three Papers will have appeared in the main written test.

(5) The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015

(6) The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005

(7) The Gujarat Prevention of Gambling Act, 1887

(8) The Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956

(9) Pre-conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994

(10) The Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881(Only Ch.XVII)

(11) The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969

Paper – II- CIVIL=

Marks- 75

Duration: 02½ Hours

Paper – III= GUJARATI LANGUAGE

Kindly Note-

• The Language of Question Paper-I & Question Paper-II of Main Written Examination= English.
• The appeared candidates will have to give their Answers to Questions of Papers I & II of Main Written Examination either in English or in Gujarati or otherwise.
• Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes requires minimum 45% Marks and all other category aspirants need to secure minimum 50% Marks in the Main Written Examination for being eligible for Viva-voce (Oral Interview) Test.

Viva-voce (Oral Interview) Test=

• The tentatively scheduled for an interview will be in the month of October / November, 2019 consists of 50 Marks.
• The Main aim of an interview to check the ability of the candidates to judging the mental alertness, knowledge of law, clear and logical exposition, balance of judgment, skills, attitude, ethics, power of assimilation, power of communication, character and intellectual depth and the like.
